Audio Premastering Services
Sony DADC provides support and advice in the preparation of your audio materials. Equipped with the latest audio systems, our studios are designed to bring you comprehensive premastering services of the highest quality. Premastering InstructionsTo process your audio to your full satisfaction, we need you to define your requirements as precisely as possible, e.g.: Equalizing 500 Hz, Q=1, +4 dB. Please see our Premastering Instructions Sheet for detailed information.IMPORTANT NOTE: Please send us an explicit order if you want to use one of our premastering services. Otherwise, no changes will be made to your program during the premastering or mastering process.
Premastering ServicesCompression/Limiting:
We can use this technique if your audio material isn't loud enough, even though the peak
level has been set to 0 dB.
Equalizing:
We can perform any equalizing tasks for you, using the DANIEL WEISS EQ1 dual 7 band digital
parametric equalizer, for example.
Restoration:
We can remove any noises, clicks or other defects that emerged during recording.
Track exchange/Track fade/Track cut/Track compilation (from various media)/Shorten/Mute Pauses:
We can perform various track edits, using the Sonic Solutions Hard Disk Editing System, for
example.
Noise Editing/Removal:
Noises like clicks, pops, thumps, small dropouts and so on can be corrected at Sony DADC,
using SADIE or the Sonic Solutions Hard Disk Editing System, for example.
DC Offset correction:
We can remove DC-Offset by filtering frequencies below 18 Hz.
We can add effects (e.g.: Reverb, Delay, Chorus).to your audio material.
A/D Transfer:
We can perform analogue to digital transfers, from 1/4 or 1/2 inch tapes as well as other
analogue sources.
Level adjustment:
We can adjust the level of your tracks or, depending on the program, certain parts of
tracks.
PQ-encoding/ISRC input:
We can create, correct or verify the PQ-code/ISRC of your master.
CD TEXT Input:
Information such as Artist, Album, Track Titles and so on can be added to your CD-Audio, for
display on CD-Players enabled for CD TEXT.
Other services:
We also offer customer/verification copies, phase correction, time compression/expansion,
vary speed, and so on, upon request.
